AFEN INTEGRATES CHAINLINK VRF AS PART OF CROSS-COMMUNITY REWARDS PROGRAM LAUNCH
To increase utility and incentives in the AFEN community, we are introducing a cross-community rewards program. As part of its launch, we have integrated the industry-leading oracle solution Chainlink. In particular, AFEN is leveraging Chainlink VRF, the most widely used verifiable RNG solution for smart contracts, in order to bring enhanced transparency and fairness to the winner selection process of the program.
Cross community reward:
We have established a reward structure for holders of particular NFTs beginning with the AFROXNFT, which is the first collection of digital items minted on afenmarketplace.com.
AFROXNFT consists of 1,000 unique afro-mystical beings minted on the blockchain as NFTs. Holders of AFROXNFT are eligible to participate in the cross-community rewards program.

How does it work?
AFEN will be interacting with several other NFT projects on afenmarketplace.com and other marketplaces, such as OpenSea, Rarible, Foundation, etc. The reason for this is to acquire unique NFTs from several projects to place in a pool.
Once placed, AFROXNFT holders will be eligible to compete for rewards in the pool. We are using Chainlink VRF to provide secure and auditable randomness used to select eligible NFT holders. This will be done on a quarterly basis, with previous winners ineligible for the next round of cross-community rewards. Apart from NFTs in the pool, tokens from AFEN partners will be placed in the pool after the first round of rewards. Qualified holders will be eligible to continuously reap rewards just by holding $AFEN tokens and an item from the afenmarketplace.com maiden NFT collection; AFROXNFT.
Furthermore, to enhance transparency, the address where the NFT and tokens are held will be made public after acquisition. Participants will be able to view transactions that help determine rewards by checking the on-chain proof provided by Chainlink VRF, which verifies the integrity of the RNG process.
Chainlink VRF works by combining block data that is still unknown when the request is made with the oracle node’s pre-committed private key to generate both a random number and a cryptographic proof. The Afen smart contract will only accept the random number input if it has a valid cryptographic proof, and the cryptographic proof can only be generated if the VRF process is tamper-proof. This helps provide users with automated and publicly verifiable proof directly on-chain that using Chainlink VRF for randomness is provably fair and was not tampered with or predicted by the oracle, outside entities, or the Afen team.
Basis for Rewards Qualification:
To qualify for the incentives in the pool, you must fulfil either of these:
- Hold up to 300,000 AFEN tokens
Or
- Be an AFROXNFT holder
First Round Reward structure:
For the first round of cross-community rewards, a total of 10 unique NFTs will be announced, mirroring laudable NFT projects across marketplaces, inclusive of afenmarketplace.com.
Qualified holders will also be eligible to receive airdrops of 1million $AFEN tokens.
The date for the commencement of the first round of cross-community rewards will be announced shortly after the release of the official partnership announcement.

About Chainlink
Chainlink is the industry standard for building, accessing, and selling oracle services needed to power hybrid smart contracts on any blockchain. Chainlink oracle networks provide smart contracts with a way to reliably connect to any external API and leverage secure off-chain computations for enabling feature-rich applications. Chainlink currently secures tens of billions of dollars across DeFi, insurance, gaming, and other major industries, and offers global enterprises and leading data providers a universal gateway to all blockchains.
