DEVELOPMENT UPDATE #7 : JUNE AND GENERAL UPDATES.
Quite a lot has happened since you last heard from us through our routine newspaper. The crypto-verse which we are a part of has, in the last week, undergone one of the most eventful periods in it’s supposed 12 year history. We can say that it was indeed an interesting month of June. Among the occurrences through the month, was the start of the NFT season where NFTs replaced other cryptos as the talk of the timeline. It was almost as if NFTs had found good in the market’s misfortune. Speaking of the ugliness of the markets through the month, the general sentiment shared across the crypto-verse was largely that of uncertainty through the period.
In the midst of so many occurrences, Afen has remained steadfast to the single mission of delivering a working product. Like every good project, the development process has approached the stage where the developers are ensuring that everything needed is put in place in order to launch and fly like a bird.

AFEN TAKES SECOND-PLACE IN THE EARLY STAGE OF THE BINANCE AFRICA HACKATHON:
In a bid to strengthen marketing of the AFEN project, the AFEN marketing team saw fit to join the Binance Africa hackathon event alongside other projects from the continent. The event is said to be held in stages and will be judged from a combination of factors. The voting exercise which held for a period of time allowing community members to vote with integrity and devoid of any form of malpractice, witnessed Afen ascend from the bottom of the log to first place for a period of time before being edged by HOKK finance; a meme coin formerly built on a chain different from the binance smart chain. HOKK finance was able to scale through by relocating to the Binance smart chain network in the midst of the voting process. This drew questions from the other participant communities. While we wait for the final results, we applaud the efforts of the community and the CEO for representing the Afen project at the live session on youtube. We expect a favourable decision from the Judges.
AFEN LAUNCHES BETA VERSION OF NFT MARKETPLACE:
The preparation for the official NFT marketplace has begun with the first step being the Phase 1 launch of the Beta version of the AFEN NFT marketplace. Slow but steady they say. Afen looks to consolidate the delays in the marketplace with a grand marketing process to roll out final products which is expected to benefit the AFEN community. Phase 1 beta launch was done on the 16th of June and phase 2 is expected to follow in a short while from the release of this newsletter. We look forward to the unveiling of a working product and we expect the community to be as excited as we are.
FIRST AFEN RANGER EMERGES FROM THE AFENGERS ARMY PROGRAM:
The Afengers army, which is an all inclusive community marketing plan seeking to hoist the Afen flag in different off-chain and digital communities for the benefit of the project, has recently produced its first ranger by order of ranks. The ranger Ali, who is a proud Afen holder, has expressed his love and commitment to the project. Ali was incentivized with 200$ worth of Afen and USDT tokens. $AFEN NOW ON PANCAKESWAP
We have added liquidity to popular decentralized exchange and community favourite in the pecking order of needs; pancakeswap. This addition comes after a brief stint of no listing due to strategic planning for the growth of the project. The CEO, Deborah Ojengbede, joined the mild celebration on telegram and hinted at more listings coming up side by side in the development process. While the community continues to expect more from the Afen team, the team remains committed to satisfying the needs and wants of the community.
AFEN EMERGES AS JOINT-WINNER OF NFT AND GAMING CATEGORY AT BINANCE AFRICA HACKATHON EVENT:
The efforts of the Afen community did not go in vain. We emerged as joint-winners of the NFT and gaming category at the binance Africa Hackathon event. This makes Afen the most laudable NFT project in Africa. Afen was awarded a total sum of 2,500 dollars as incentive for winning. Congratulations to the community.
